This evening is a special fundraiser screening. Museum opens at 6:00pm theater doors at 6:30pm

The evening includes a small gallery showing of Bucky Fuller art and artifacts related to the film, a talk with the filmmaker and screening of the documentary followed by a reception. Delicacies and wine-tasting by Sicilianaire.com -

Bucky was The Leonardo Da Vinci of our times. He asked: "If success or failure of this planet and of human beings depended on how I am and what I do... How would I be? What would I do?"

Filming took place over one year and tells the story of the worlds first green car: The Dymaxion Transport, and the story beyond.

Over the last year Noel Murphy traveled to England and Spain and the country over doing research and filming. He talked to everyone from Jay Leno to Lord Norman Foster, ( the world's top architect & Bucky student ) and even Bobby Kennedy Jr. The New York Times has slated a article about "The Last Dymaxion" for the first week of January 2011. The film then goes on tour to be shared at a number of film festivals.

We will introduce The Bucky Fuller Trimtab Youth Challenge (a cash prize for youth creating outstanding green design. i.e. "trimtab"). The film will provide the first prize.

This is an opportunity to attend the museum opening day of its new exhibit: "Association of Clay & Glass Artists of California and Santa Cruz Ceramics Trains of Santa Cruz!
